Job Description:
Responsible for the design and implementation of the adaptive music program and activities. Responsible for assessing the functioning level of clients and for developing programs and activities based on this assessment. Responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of the program and participating in the client's interdisciplinary team as needed. Assesses the functional, learning, and performance levels of each student as they are related to the motor, cognitive, and social skills required for specialty activities. Establishes and utilizes criteria to measure, monitor, and evaluate student performance. Devises and obtains instructional materials and assures the proper maintenance of these materials. Maintains a positive, safe, healthy, and controlled learning environment. Performs other duties as assigned
Bachelor's or Master's degree required. Valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate in music. Responsible for maintaining music certification via courses and in-service credits. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills. Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. Must be able to lift/transfer a minimum of 50 pounds.
