RTI Intervention Teacher – English Language Arts (Grades 5-9)

Philadelphia Performing Arts: A String Theory Charter School seeks a full-time teacher to join the RTI Intervention teaching team at the Vine Street Campus (1600 Vine Street).  At Vine Street, students in grades 5-12 engage in a unique educational environment designed to grow the next generation of creative leaders, and where students focus on the arts and sciences as major subjects alongside a technology-infused, project-based, standards- and competency-driven academic curriculum. Our teachers are creative, passionate, professional educators that believe every student has specific intelligences that must be nurtured and that all students should have an equal opportunity to achieve their own innate potential.
The RTI Intervention teacher is a member of the RTI team whose responsibility it is to identify and support students struggling in the classroom with mathematical content.  The RTI team analyzes data from curricular, local, and state assessments as well as intervention platforms to identify skill gaps in students’ content knowledge.  With this information, the RTI intervention teacher delivers targeted instruction to students on his/her caseload, regularly assesses for growth and progress monitors students towards mastery.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree
  • PA Certification in English (7-12)
  • Criminal history, child abuse and FBI clearances (Acts 34, 151 and FBI)

  • Analyze and regularly use both qualitative and quantitative data to inform your practice
  • Cultivate higher order thinking skills through inquiry
