We’re looking for a dedicated and talented Teacher to become part of our team. 

Your schedule will be Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4:15pm Monday-Friday or other schedule agreed upon by the employee and the Principal
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
  • Perform daily teaching tasks, along with extra duties (including but not limited to): grade-level, department, and parent meetings, planning educational trips, advisory, and homeroom, lunch, recess, classroom coverage, and detention duties.
  • Participate in and support school events, activities, and programs, inside and outside of school hours.
  • Work closely with colleagues to build a cohesive school culture of success. 
  • Prepare lesson plans for your academic curriculum according to Common Core State Standards alongside your supervisor and department to continue to drive excellence in instruction.
  • Regularly analyze data, monitoring progress and updating student performance trackers, and using that data to help guide your lesson plans.
  • Regularly and proactively update families about student progress.
  • Assist the teacher to teach their scholars through an approved course of study using board-adopted curricula, books and other appropriate teaching materials. (making sure students have access to materials)
  • Assist to establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior needed to achieve a classroom climate that is conducive to learning and characterized by mutual respect.
  • Use verbal and written communication skills effectively.
  • Uphold and enforce school rules, administrative regulations and board policy.
Perform Other Responsibilities
Do whatever else is necessary or requested to prepare our students for college and to instill in them our core values of caring, respect, responsibility and honesty.
This position will be compensated on a per diem basis set at the rate of $316.75.

Qualifications
  • You possess a NJ certification in Teacher of Students with disabilities and one other instructional certification
  • You have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.00 (if graduated after Sept 2015) or 2.75 (before Sept 2015) for certification requirements
