Job Description:
Avon Grove Charter School is currently seeking Van Drivers to help support the school's operations.  The Van Driver will provide safe and efficient transportation for students on routes as directed by the school throughout the county.  Interested candidates should submit an application at https://www.applitrack.com/agcharter/onlineapp/.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School Diploma, preferred.
2. Minimum of 7 years of driving experience.
3. Valid Driver’s License.
4. Complete physical certifying medical ability to drive a school van.
5. Successful completion of school van driver training – Vector Solutions.
6. Accepts and relates to students with variety of exceptional/special needs.
7. Ability to exercise good judgment and extreme caution while operating the van.
8. Establishes and maintains proper conduct and safety of passengers, designates order of pickup and drop off, modify bus routes, and recognize mechanical safety hazards in a van.
9. Accepts responsibility and self-motivated.
10. Demonstrates strong work ethic to achieve goals, effective classroom management and multitasking skills.
11. Displays and models professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Shares a commitment to the success of and serves as an advocate for the mission, goals, and objectives of AGCS.
2. Works cooperatively and in collaboration with parents, staff, and administration to provide parents and families with information and support in order to carry out their commitment to AGCS students.
3. Drives school van on all types of trips in support of Charter School approved actives, both within and outside of the school’s boundaries.
4. Drives school van safely in accordance with time schedules, transporting students to and from their homes, assures that safety belts are fastened, oversees the loading and unloading, maintains control of student passengers as related to safety and behavior.
5. Operates and services all school can equipment and accessories including fire extinguishers, warning kits, first aid kits, cleaning of van (interior/exterior, sweeping floor, washing windows).
6. Performs required safety inspections of the school van(s) and related equipment such as gas, oil filter, belts, etc.
7. Keeps records of mileage, routing, maintenance and time schedules.
8. Attends meetings/trainings for the purpose of maintaining skills and licenses and certifications.

HOURLY-RATE:
$25.00/hour

WORK SCHEDULE:
This position is a split-shift position with AM and PM route assignments.  Days and hours of work vary depending on assigned routes.  The driver will be paid hourly based on time-card submissions.
