Job Description:
Vision Academy Charter School of Excellence is seeking a dynamic and passionate Health and Physical Education Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and standards-aligned instruction in both health and physical education to elementary students in grades K–5, promoting lifelong fitness, wellness, and healthy decision-making.
Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania Instructional I or II Certification in Health and Physical Education (PK–12)
• Demonstrated knowledge of the PA Academic Standards for Health, Safety, and Physical Education
• Experience working with diverse student populations in an urban or charter school setting is preferred
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet varied student needs
• Commitment to equitable education and the mission of Vision Academy CS of Excellence

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

• Plan and deliver daily lessons aligned to PA state standards and school curriculum
• Implement developmentally appropriate fitness activities and health education topics
• Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Promote social-emotional wellness, teamwork, and sportsmanship
• Assess and report student progress in health and physical education
• Collaborate with school staff to support student success and school-wide initiatives
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and equipment inventory
• Participate in professional development, school events, and staff meetings
