 Job Summary
The ideal candidate for the Physical Education (PE) position at CCSA will demonstrate a strong commitment to both their teaching craft and content. The Physical Education program emphasizes sports-related skills, movement patterns, games, and fitness activities. The teacher will develop lesson plans and deliver instruction for students in grades K–12.

Responsibilities and Qualities

• Hold or be eligible to acquire Pennsylvania certification in Physical Education (including Emergency Certification, if applicable).
• Provide an environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of students.
• Incorporate cooperative learning and teamwork into lessons.
• Participate in physical activities, lift equipment, and supervise students during physical exertion.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate Field Day.
• Commit to continuous professional growth through professional development and a data-driven mindset.
• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and build relationships through the use of humor and effective communication.
• Maintain professionalism in all communications and interpersonal interactions.
• Show initiative and possess strong planning and organizational abilities.
• Consistently meet professional expectations and follow school policies.

Qualifications

• Hold or be eligible for appropriate Pennsylvania certification for the position.
• Satisfactory Act 34, Act 151, Act 168, and FBI clearances
• Desire to teach in an urban setting.
