We are currently recruiting for Personal Care Assistants for the 2025-2026 Academic School year for our LifeWorks School System, with locations in Doylestown, Levittown, and Media PA

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) position at Lifeworks Schools involves providing one-on-one support to students with autism across various school settings. The role is essential in assisting students with daily academic and social activities, ensuring their needs are met during school hours. 

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with a student with autism in the classroom, specials, lunch, and recess.
• Assist the student with daily activities, both academic and social.
• Utilize crisis prevention techniques and strategies, including possible restraint as a last resort, as required by the student's IEP.
• Communicate effectively with both students and adults.
• Exercise good judgment and prioritize tasks.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required at the time of hire.
• Experience in providing personal care services is preferred.
• Ability to work as a team member and be a positive role model for students.
