The Easton Area School District wishes to inform you of the following posted vacancy.
 
Director of Transportation
Full-time
12 Month Position
Districtwide
 
This is an administrative position which reports directly to the Assistant Superintendent for District Operations and Services.
 
The Director of Transportation is responsible for the overall strategic direction, planning, coordination, administration and evaluation of the Transportation Department functions at the District. The Manager of Transportation is responsible for developing and ensuring effective implementation of plans, systems policies and processes for the department, ensuring the safe and timely transportation needs of all students that the district services.
 
Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in transportation management, logistics, or related field (preferred). Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (preferred). Extensive experience in transportation management, preferably in an educational setting. Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulation related to student transportation. Leadership experience demonstrating excellence organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, team management, and customer service skills. Familiarity with maintenance, repair and operation of school buses and vehicles, fueling regulation, and other garage operations. Experience and proficiency in using transportation management software and technology. Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing demands.
 
The selected candidate shall be chosen based on credentials, the ability to demonstrate job functions and the successful completion of a series of interviews along with meeting all local requirements.  Salary commensurate with experience and knowledge.
