Elementary School Counselor (Grades K–2)
Position Purpose
Under the supervision of the Director of Pupil Services, the Elementary School Counselor provides academic, social-emotional, and behavioral support to students in grades K–2, with a strong focus on Data Analysis, MTSS implementation, PBIS, and small-group intervention services. The counselor collaborates with staff and families to ensure students receive timely, developmentally appropriate supports.

The counselor collaborates with staff and families to ensure students receive timely, developmentally appropriate supports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (required); Master’s in School Counseling preferred
- PA School Counselor Certification required
- Elementary counseling experience and knowledge of MTSS/PBIS preferred
- Valid driver’s license or ability to provide transportation
- Serve as an active member of the MTSS team, supporting Tier I, II, and III interventions
- Design and deliver small-group counseling focused on behavior, social skills, emotional regulation, and engagement
- Support and reinforce PBIS and positive school climate initiatives
- Provide individual and group counseling services
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student needs
- Use student data to plan, monitor, and adjust interventions
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records
- Participate in professional learning and staff consultation
- Strong understanding of MTSS, PBIS, and early childhood development
- Ability to analyze student data and implement interventions
- Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
