DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES
Easterseals of Southeastern PA is seeking a strategic, mission-driven leader to lead, support and oversee the full scope of human resources functions across a nonprofit organization that provides early intervention services to infants, toddlers, and young children with developmental delays or disabilities. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, this role supports a multidisciplinary workforce of early childhood educators, therapists, service coordinators, and administrative staff.

DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES
Easterseals of Southeastern PA is seeking a strategic, mission-driven leader to lead, support and oversee the full scope of human resources functions across a nonprofit organization that provides early intervention services to infants, toddlers, and young children with developmental delays or disabilities. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, this role supports a multidisciplinary workforce of early childhood educators, therapists, service coordinators, and administrative staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The DIrector of Human Resources is a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and will lead, support, manage or advise ELT members on all facets of the practice of human resources, to include:
- Inclusive recruitment and onboarding processes to attract and retain qualified professionals including therapists (OT, PT, SLP), educators, special instructors, and support staff.
- Compliance with all HR-related regulatory requirements, including IDEA Part C and Part B, HIPAA, ADA, FMLA, and early intervention licensure requirements.
- Performance management systems and processes that support regular feedback practices.
- Initiatives that foster staff engagement, morale, and professional fulfillment / growth.
- Compensation systems that ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Employee benefits, time-off and leave policies.
- HR policies, employee handbooks, and practices that reflect legal requirements and organizational values.
- Effective HR systems (e.g., HRIS, applicant tracking, training portals) management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience.
- Experience supporting multidisciplinary teams in education, early childhood education, or clinical settings.
- SPHR, SHRM-SCP, or similar HR certification preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of employment law and compliance specific to education and child/family service sectors.
- Ability to balance strategic vision with practical execution in a fast-paced environment.
