Job Description:
SENIOR DIRECTOR OF CENTER BASED PROGRAMS

Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania is seeking a strategic educational leader to oversee Approved Private School (APS) and center-based early childhood education programs. This role provides system-level leadership to Program Directors and ensures high-quality, compliant, and student-centered services for children with complex educational needs.

The Senior Director works collaboratively with Chief Program Officer, executive leadership, program, HR, and operations teams to strengthen instructional quality, leadership capacity, and program outcomes across all center-based programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise, coach, and evaluate Program Directors to ensure consistent instructional and operational standards.
• Ensure compliance with PDE Approved Private School requirements, including Chapter 171, special education regulations, and audit readiness.
• Provide instructional leadership supporting curriculum alignment, IEP implementation, behavior supports, and data-driven practices.
• Design and implement a teacher induction program and oversee ongoing professional development.
• Develop and manage performance evaluation systems for program leadership, teachers, and related service providers, including Danielson-aligned observations and feedback.
• Collaborate with therapeutic leadership (OT, PT, SLP, Behavior) to support integrated service delivery.
• Partner with Human Resources on recruitment, onboarding, credentialing, retention, and corrective action.
• Collaborate with Finance and Operations on staffing models, scheduling, and facilities planning.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on program quality, staff development, and student outcomes.
• Represent Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania with PDE, school districts, families, and external partners as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree required in Education, Special Education, Educational Leadership, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a school or program administrator supervising special education staff.
• PDE Principal certification accepted; Supervisor of Special Education certification preferred (or eligibility to obtain).
• Knowledge of special education law, PDE regulations, IEP implementation, and compliance.
• Experience developing professional development, induction, and instructional support systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
