Position Overview
Vision Academy Charter School of Excellence is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Upper Elementary Teacher (Grades 5–6) to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year. Teachers in this role may teach one or more core subjects including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, depending on grade-level team assignments.
The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment, implement engaging instructional strategies, and support the academic and social-emotional development of upper elementary students.
Key Responsibilities
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
Certification
Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in Elementary Education (PK–4) or Middle Level (4–8), or ability to obtain certification
Skills
Demonstrated knowledge of effective instructional practices and classroom management
Collaboration
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Commitment
Commitment to equity, inclusion, and the academic success of all students
Compensation & Benefits
Starting Salary: $66,000 + based on experience and credentials according to the VACSE salary scale.
