- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum guidelines and educational standards
- Teach students how to safely and effectively use various tools and machinery
- Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, projects, and exams
- Maintain classroom equipment and ensure a safe learning environment
- Provide individualized instruction and support to help students master complex concepts
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements to provide relevant and up-to-date instruction
- Organize and supervise hands-on projects and practical exercises
- Encourage creativity and innovation in students’ work
- Prepare students for careers in technical and trade-related fields through skills training and career guidance
- Manage classroom behavior and create a positive educational environment
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress and behavior
- Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching skills
- Experience working in a trade or technical field
- Previous teaching or training experience
- Advanced degrees or certifications in education or a related field
- Familiarity with educational software and technology
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proven ability to manage classroom behavior effectively
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Arts Education or a related field
- State teaching certification or licensure
- Proficiency in using and teaching various tools and machinery
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures
- Ability to develop and implement effective lesson plans
- Patience and dedication to student success
- Strong problem-solving skills and creativity
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and other staff members
