Job Description:
A STEM teacher is responsible for teaching Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics in an integrated and practical way. They plan and deliver lessons that help students understand key concepts while also applying them through hands-on activities such as experiments, projects, coding, and problem-solving tasks. A STEM teacher encourages critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration, often using real-world examples and educational technology to make learning more engaging.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REPORTS TO: Middle School Principal
STATUS: Full-Time, 10-Month
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt, Salaried
SCHEDULE: 7:15am-3:15pm, Monday-Friday
LOCATION: State Road Campus - Upper School

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher and/or mastery of core subject.
- Valid, active Pennsylvania Teaching Certification in Elementary Education K-6, Mid-Level Science, General Science 7-12, Technology Pk-12, and/or STEM Endorsement Pk-12, required.
- Understand the design thinking process and elements of project-based learning theory to deliver rigorous instruction in STEM, while integrating basic coding, computer science concepts, and computational thinking into instruction and projects.
- Prior successful full-time teaching experience preferred.
