Job Description:
Boys’ Latin High School seeks a Theater teacher to focus on the development of young actors and support them in developing an appreciation and understanding of the broad influences and contexts of theater and performance.

Duties include:
  • Revising and further developing curriculum that is aligned with PA Common Core standards.
  • Creating and implementing academically rigorous lessons and assessments.
  • Assessing individual student’s progress and needs; demonstrate relentless focus on helping students achieve.
  • Using data to drive instruction, remediation, and enrichment.
  • Supporting general education and special education students in achieving academic success and character growth.
  • Creating a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to student learning.
  • Helping shape and develop a school-wide atmosphere that best suits the needs of our students, teachers, and families.
  • Communicating students’ progress toward realizing academic goals with families on a regular basis.
  • Instructing courses in public speaking, stage design, and other areas of theatrical production.
  • Shaping forums for student performance in the school and the community.
