We’re looking for a dedicated and talented English Teacher to become part of our High School Team. 
Your schedule will be Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4:15pm.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
  • Performing your daily teaching tasks, along with extra duties (including but not limited to): grade-level, department, and parent meetings, planning educational trips, advisory, and homeroom, lunch, recess, classroom coverage, and detention duties.
  • Participating in and supporting school events, activities, and programs, inside and outside of school hours.
  • Working closely with colleagues to build a cohesive school culture of success. 
  • Preparing lesson plans for your academic curriculum according to Common Core State Standards alongside your supervisor and department to continue to drive excellence in instruction.
  • Regularly analyzing data, monitoring progress and updating student performance trackers, and using that data to help guide your lesson plans.
  • Regularly and proactively updating families about student progress.

The salary for this position, which depends on prior work experience and our assessment of your fit for the role, will likely be between $52,709 - $72,334.

  • You possess or are eligible for NJ certification in Teacher of English
  • You have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.00 (if graduated after Sept 2015) or 2.75 (before Sept 2015) for certification requirements
