4. Quick REAP Note on "To Apply Click Here" Links within a Job Description

When viewing a job posting, always read the entire description.  Often prospective employers will include a link that navigates you to their website where you may be asked to apply.  If this takes place, the application process you undergo is independent of REAP and may be handled by Applitrack/Frontline, TalentED, etc.  A link within the job description always takes precedence over the "Notify District I'm Interested" icon. In other words, if you see a link to apply, always click on it to ensure that you are applying with the district on their website.  If you need support for your Applitrack/Frontline application you will need to once again, click on the link within the job description to navigate to the school's website, find the job opportunity you originally selected and click on it.  Then, when prompted to log in, click on the "forgot password" link.

6. Recent PA Law Change 60 Credit Hr Required for Subs

Pennsylvania Law has recently been changed to allow Applicants with a minimum of 60 Credit Hours towards a teaching certificate earned at an accredited Pennsylvania college or university
to substitute teach for a maximum of 20 days service in the public schools.
Applicants who qualify and wish to substitute teach, should do the following:
1. Be sure you have entered "Yes" to the Substitute Teacher questions in Subsection 2.2 Other Positions.
2. Enter "Yes" to indicate you have a current teaching certificate in Subsection 3.1: Certification Questions. (We are counting 60+credit hours as a teaching certificate.)
3. Click on "3. Educ. Cert." on the left hand menu .
-- Then click on "3. Pennsylvania Educational Certificates."
-- In Subsection 3.3: Pennsylvania Educational Certificates, add the following certificate:
"60+ Credit Hours towards Education Degree from PA school"
The appropriate "Type or Status" is "Credit Hours in Education".
Note: It is important that you do not enter the certificate as an "Anticipated Certificate."
4. You must finish your all sections of your application and do a "Final Submission."
At this point, School District HR departments can search for the above certificate, and find that you are eligible to substitute teach.
